I Swore I'd Never...
The past couple of weekends of been full of wonderful adventures... from paragliding 10,000 feet above Sun Valley to hiking up to the summit of Mt. Borah and back down again (10 hours of pure fun :-) Well, this past weekend proved to be a trying time. Friday evening and during the day on Saturday, I found myself looking over at the Beau and asking myself "why". I swore I would never find myself in this situation - NEVER, NEVER, EVER AGAIN!! But there I was, laying sod!
Oh sure, now I feel absolutely stupendous and satisfied; but the pain and agony experienced this past weekend still burns fresh in my mind. I will say that the second time around was definitely better :-) I even had some great comments from passerbys as they said, "WOW, that looks great" "What a difference!" Once curious neighbor even asked if I was going to sell the house. Even though it's starting to turn into a seller's market, I plan to stay here for a couple years longer :-)
One of the highest points of satisfaction (thus far) occurred last night. I had left the sprinkler on the 1st section of the yard to water the lovely green lawn... I glanced out the window and saw the fat neighborhood cat walk toward section 1, notice the sprinkler, and then turn around. HURRAY! That damn, fat, white cat has been taking HUGE dumps underneath the front bush by the house for a while now... but NOT last night. Oh no... last night, fat ass whitey had to find a new place to take a chunky dump and then spend hours to cover it up since it was so smelly and big - not in MY YARD fatty! It's the little triumphs in life :-)
On to the next big adventure... Miss Elle's bachelorette party and bridal shower!
